How the app works – from search to map, GPX and weather forecast.

   Search for a location

   Enter a summit, hut or place – the search queries OpenStreetMap across the entire Alpine region. Alternatively, use the GPS button to use your current location.

   Location

   The location shows elevation, type and position at a glance. From here you can jump directly to the map, the weather forecast or the nearest weather stations.

   History

   All recently visited locations are saved automatically. Switch to history mode to recall a previous location with a single tap.

   Map

   Choose between summer and winter map and enable overlays: slope angle classes, ski tours, snowshoe routes or wildlife rest zones. In full-screen mode you get the full overview.

   Upload GPX

   Load a GPX file via drag & drop or the file picker. On iOS you can also send GPX files directly to the app via the Share Sheet.

   Route

   The route view shows distance, ascent/descent and an elevation profile with slope angle classes. The coloured legend helps assess steeper sections.

   Draw a route

   Place waypoints directly on the map to plan a new route. Points can be dragged, corrected with undo/redo and the finished route exported as GPX.

   Weather forecast

   Six weather models compared: wind, precipitation, temperature and freezing level in a compact matrix. The time range extends up to 7 days depending on the model.

   Weather stations

   The nearest mountain stations from various networks (MeteoSwiss, GeoSphere, Météo-France and others) with distance display. Current readings such as temperature, wind and snow depth at a glance.

    Avalanche bulletin

    The current avalanche danger level for the selected region is displayed automatically. A tap leads directly to the full regional bulletin from the responsible avalanche warning centre.

    Navigation

    Real-time GPS navigation along your route with a compass rose for orientation and a direction arrow pointing to your target. Remaining distance, ascent/descent and automatic off-track warnings.

    Slope Meter

    Hold the device in the fall line of the slope – the app measures the inclination angle in real time and displays the danger level, compass direction and slope angle directly on screen.

    Offline Maps

    Download map tiles in advance for use without mobile signal. Select areas on the grid and save them for your tour – ideal for remote areas without reception.
